Eileen Johanna performs songs from the Great American Songbook. Well loved Jazz classics by Gershwin, Porter, Ellington and Berlin, including many of the songs popularized by Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan and Billie Holiday.

Eileen’s vocals range from strong and passionate to delicate and intimate, while the backing of Adam Chilvers on guitar, Pete Brandt on double bass and Anthony Flynn drums has a subtle understated elegance reminiscent of classic 1950′s Jazz bands.

Eileen, Adam and Pete met while studying for music degree at Bath Spa University. They formed the Jazz band in 2004 and since then have played at many weddings, parties, clubs and corporate events throughout the South of England.

Born in Cumbria, Daniel began music at a very early age studying classical guitar and soon became fascinated with the instrument. After achieving highly in his home county, winning 1st prize and most musical performance multiple times in the Cumbrian Music Festival, Daniel was accepted into the Birmingham Conservatoire.

In his first term at the Conservatoire Daniel was accepted into the finals of the Winifred Micklam prize where he was named runner up and he also played in the finals of the Philip Bates prize. As a finalist twice in the conservatoire prize, Daniel has received many recommendations from top performers and adjudicators.

Throughout his time in the Conservatoire, Daniel has played across the whole of the West Midlands in Solo recitals. His choice of repertoire is well balanced and varied, which has proven to be a great formula for his style of playing and his interpretations. Playing in a guitar duo regularly, Daniel has extended his technique, performance opportunities, and because of this he has become a well rounded musician with a lot of experience. Playing regulary with Vocal students has given Daniel great experience in accompanying and playing in chamber situations, also giving him the chance to perform in many recitals and masterclasses, most recently with Patricia Rozario when he played Rodrigo.

Daniel has attended festivals in Germany and received lessons from John Williams, Zoran Dukic, Mark Eden, Dale Kavanagh and many more influencial players. As a full time student of Mark Ashford Daniel receives excellent tuition regularly in solo perfromance and all aspects of his playing.

As frequent member of ‘Thumb, Daniel plays contemporary music and helps promote many world premiers with the large collective ensemble, also regularly playing for vocal students Daniel is a well trained accompanist with a wide knowledge of repertoire.

Daniel graduated from the Birmingham Conservatoire with an outstanding array of achievements and now, to progress his knowledge, is studying for a PGCE in secondary music whilst performingh regularly as a proffessional musician solo, and in ensembles.

From their love of all things vintage, kitsch and most definitely retro their idea was born. To have an old ice cream van full of old fashioned treats and poodle along to a local village fete, lovely wedding or a glorious summer party.

On the van named Betty, after the owners Grandma, you will find the creamiest ice cream produced at Beechdean family farm in Buckinghamshire. All the old favourite flavours of lolly; cherry brandy, cider, rocket, lager and lime. They also sell pretty glass bottles of dandelion and burdock, cloudy lemonade and of course a family favourite, ginger beer!!

The van itself is a 1973 Bedford cf, which the owner had restored and painted in the loveliest shades of pale blue and cream. She is themed in a real 50’s way, decked out in Cath Kidston oilcloth and dripping in floral bunting.

The van is available for any type of private event, weddings etc, and always goes down well at corporate occcasions.

Born in 1980, Joseph’s early training began at the age of 9 in Lincoln, where he studied classical guitar with his teachers Rob Johns and Graham Tacon.

Joseph went on to study music at school and later auditioned to study for a Bachelor of Music degree at the Birmingham Conservatoire under the instruction of two renowned concert guitarists, Simon Dinnigan and Mark Ashford. He spent four years in Birmingham and qualified with a BMus (Hons) Classical Guitar.

During his training Joseph was successful in winning a number of classical guitar competitions including the Lincolnshire Music Festival 1998, and later the Classical Guitar Prize, adjudicated by Gerald Garcia at the Birmingham Conservatoire 2002. In 2003 Joseph performed and recorded Mauro Giuliani’s concerto in A major, for guitar and string quartet. Joseph has performed solo in a number of national venues including the CBSO Centre Birmingham and the Royal Albert Hall London. He continues to perform in venues across the UK.

Steven Duffy was taught to play bagpipes from the age of 10 years. Aged 16 he joined Her Majesty’s Scots Guards where at the Guards Depot Piping School he was instructed by Pipe Majors’ Angus MacDonald and Dixie Ingram.

He was a member of the 2nd Battalion Pipes & Drums that won the Grade II European Pipe Band Championships, took 2nd place World Pipe Band Champions securing a return to Grade I competition in 1986. During his extensive career Steven has played at many of the most prestigious State and military occasions including the Queens Birthday Parade, Beating Retreat Horse Guards Parade, State Banquets, Edinburgh Military Tattoo and the Royal Tournament.

The Rat Pack Boys are ideal for any occasion whether it be a wedding, corporate event, theatre show, TV, party or just simply background music over dinner. The Rat Pack Boys perform Rat Pack songs and also many other songs from that era. They perform not only as a duo but all the way up to a full 11 piece band, all professional musicians who play all over the world. They have a CV that reads like a whos who in the musical world.

This act can perform as one of the following options:-

A. 2 x 45 minute performances by The Rat Pack Boys to professionally recorded backing tracks (duo)

The perfect option if your limited with space but still require the full sound of the big band.

B. 2 x 45 minute performances by The Rat Pack Boys live with the ‘John Anthony Trio’ Rhythm section.

Consisting of three great musicians with a wealth of experience, in fact ‘John the Keys ‘is a former member of Elvis Presley’s touring band. Drums, Bass guitar and Keyboards produce a great sound for any occasion and is ideal if you prefer live music at a competitive price.

C. 2 x 45 minute performances by the Rat Pack Boys and their seven piece band.

A great option if you want the big band sound but don’t quite have the room for the full eleven piece. Consisting of the rhythm section with brass and saxophone.

D. 2 x 60 minute performances by the Rat Pack Boys and their 11 piece swing band.

A great option if you have the space and want that live big band sound.
